Why We Built This Site
Pennsylvania offers several public access paths, but each answers a different question. Northumberland County Prison holds county custody information, the Clerk of Courts keeps Common Pleas criminal files, and Pennsylvania State Police runs PATCH for state criminal-history certificates. The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections covers state custody, while the PSP Megan's Law Public Website publishes registry information authorized by law. We bring verified contacts, request steps, fees, and search routes into one county-focused reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Local record routes: how criminal court cases are searched and read in Northumberland County
- Official checks: how PATCH name searches and authorized fingerprint channels serve separate needs
- Agency contacts: which county, police, court, or Pennsylvania office owns each record type
- Record relief: where expungement, limited access, Clean Slate, and ARD procedures begin
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Pennsylvania court, police department, sheriff, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We do not retrieve files or conduct official background checks
- We cannot submit an expungement petition, RTKL request, or court form
- We do not certify court records, state histories, booking files, or police reports
- We cannot interpret a charge or advise someone about a specific legal matter
- We cannot promise an agency has not changed an hour, fee, address, or procedure
Official copies must come from the office that maintains them, such as the Clerk of Courts, arresting police department, county prison, or Pennsylvania State Police.
Search Partners
Outside providers operate search boxes found on some pages. Those businesses control their results, prices, and terms. A paid signup reached through a widget may generate referral revenue that supports the site. We neither set the provider's fee nor determine what its service returns.
